Who we are
With 17 years of hands-on classroom and therapeutic school experience, Melissa Davis has dedicated her career to helping students and educators thrive. From early childhood classrooms to middle school settings, she has worked with students across the spectrum of behavioral challenges, successfully helping over 90% of her therapeutic students reintegrate into public school.
Melissa’s journey began in a small private school outside Burlington, Vermont, and quickly led her to a therapeutic day school in Boston, Massachusetts, where she learned the importance of proactive, in-the-moment strategies to manage challenging behaviors. Her experiences in public schools, combined with teaching through the pandemic, gave her a deep understanding of how much the educational landscape has shifted—and how essential it is to equip teachers with practical, research-based tools.
Now, as a parent to two neurodivergent children (one of whom proudly wears the “spicy nugget” badge), Melissa brings a personal perspective to her work. She understands firsthand how traditional systems can fail students and is committed to creating strategies and frameworks that empower both educators and students to succeed.
What sets us apart
At Education Advisors, we provide practical, research-backed strategies that teachers can implement immediately to proactively manage student behavior. Using our Framework for Learning paired with the Three-Step Pyramid of Behavior Change, we help schools build lasting systems that reduce referrals, improve student behavior, and create calmer, more productive classrooms.
Unlike one-size-fits-all programs, our hands-on, tiered approach supports all staff—from teachers and paraprofessionals to administrators—so educators feel confident handling challenging behaviors, and school leaders can reclaim time to focus on other priorities. We deliver solutions that are ready-to-use, deeply practical, and designed to create long-term, sustainable change, helping every student and staff member thrive.
Teacher Promise: Practical tools to make teaching easier and classrooms calmer.
District Promise: Sustainable, school-wide systems that improve outcomes and reduce stress.
