Reducing Disruptive Behaviors While Increasing Self- Regulation

This one-hour session explores practical strategies educators can use to reduce disruptive classroom behaviors while helping students build the self-regulation skills they need to be successful. Participants will examine common behaviors, identify what may be contributing to them, and learn effective ways to respond in the moment. The session will also highlight proactive classroom practices—including routines, expectations, environmental supports, and staff responses—that can help prevent challenging behaviors before they begin. Educators will leave with realistic, ready-to-use strategies that support a calmer, more predictable, and successful learning environment for all students.
